SUPPORT PROJECT 4 5 20
About
The name for the event is derived from what it is at it’s most basic. 4 Choreographers over 5 days create a full length evening of work on 20 dancers fully staged with lighting in a theater with original music and costumes. But at its core PROJECT 4 5 20 is a choreographic experiment based in the idea of releasing fear for possibility to build skill, push boundaries and challenge everyone involved to access greatness in the creative process. This project is time sensitive and has a lot of moving parts. This is a first for Pushing Progress and it is really stretching our boundaries as artists and people right down to the budget required to pull off this monumental task. This is a special undertaking for us because it brings us back to the reason we all chose dance in the first place. Love. What is most important to us is finding out what we are all capable of when there is nothing but the sheer desire to connect and share in the vision to motivate us! The whole experience from beginning to end will be filmed and edited into a documentary that we hope to have the channels to share with the entire creative world. We hope it serves an inspiration to other artists as to what can get accomplished when you come from a place of contribution, possibility and connection.

Risks and Challenges
The project itself is a risk. This is a huge undertaking that most companies or choreographers have months to create and execute. It will take a lot of man power, long hours and as much support as we can assemble. But the challenges of this project are what make it so worth attempting. We have all chosen to step outside of our comfort zones because we know that if we are comfortable we are not growing.
